There are many different opinions at present for the management for the traumatic lens dislocation
Some prefer to extract the dislocated lens but some considers it contraindicated to the quiet eye.
The authors had experienced two cases of traumatic lens dislocation associated with vitreous herniation into the anterior chamber and complicated with secondary glaucoma. Each of them was treated with the following procedure:
1: Local instillation of 5% Neosynesin for pupillary dilatation.
2: Then after the patient was put supine position and let the herniated vitreous deposit into the vitrous cavity.
3: Then local instillation of 4% pilocarpine for pupillary constriction for preventing further vitreous herniation. The resuls of the above procedure applied in two cases was satisfactory
