傳統CRT的顯示器發展已相當成熟,製造技術與顯示效能亦十分卓著。但由於CRT的體機龐大、耗能、有輻射防害健康,無法滿足環保的要求,所以液晶顯示器便成為顯示器的主流。液晶顯示器可以切割成不同大小來滿足各種應用需求,所以數位影像電子產品盛行,有個人數位助理(PDA)、數位相機、液晶電視(LCD TV)等,皆是以液晶數位顯示器來顯影。
也由於液晶顯示面板具有省電、小體積、高解析度的特性,在目前攜帶性產品如有個人數位助理(PDA)、攜帶型多媒體撥放器(PMP)、攜帶型電視( PTV)與衛星定位系統(GPS)等應用領域都成為關鍵技術。在此論文我們會討論各種顯示器的工作原理,並針對小型TFT LCD液晶顯示器作深入的探討,把幾種不同的應用加以分析。最後要利用一精簡版微軟視窗系統(Win CE, Windows Compact Edition)作業系統為平台,在硬體上構建顯示介面,連結以Intel x86 為基礎的系統單晶片(SOC) 與友達光電公司所生產的3.6寸薄膜電晶體液晶顯示器(TFT LCD, Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display)面板,使Win CE作業系統能正確的顯示,並分析周邊電路與相關電路原理。
我們會以複雜型可程式邏輯機體電路(CPLD)為基礎,配合相位鎖相迴路(PLL)來作設計。在過程中,我們會以軟體先模擬驗證,最後直接在實際系統中實現。
The development of traditional display of CRT(Cathode Ray Tube)has become matured, the manufacture technique and display performance are also very distinguished. However, the large size of CRT, power consumption, and the radiation damage to health could not match the requirement of environmental protection. Thus, Liquid Crystal Display has become the main stream of display system. Liquid Crystal Display can be divided to various sizes to satisfy various demand such as PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), Digital Camera, and LCD TV . These digital image products are using Liquid Crystal Display to display.
Because of the Liquid Crystal Display Panel having the characteristic of power saving, small size and high resolution, it is the key technology in portable products like PDA(Personal Digital Assistant), PMP(Portable Media Player), PTV (Portable TV.)and GPS. In this paper, we will show the working theorem of some displays and discuss the advanced technology of TFT LCD Display. We will analyze several kinds of application, and use the Microsoft WinCE(Windows Compact Edition)operation system as platform , to integrate display interface. We will analyze the peripheral circuit, related circuit theorem and make the TFT LCD panel work correctly on the Win CE system.
I design the integrated interface via CPLD ( Complex programmable Logic Device)and a PLL Circuit(Phase Lock Loop). In design process,I use software simulation to verification. Finally, I make TFT LCD display correctly.
