This paper aims to explore how sports ethics should strike a balance between the applied ethics and descriptive ethics. For the distinction of applied ethics and descriptive ethics in methodological and functional level, there are difficulties in the practice of ethical theory, those may cause a variety of theoretical gaps in sport ethics. This paper describes an analytical model with "descriptive-applied-descriptive" process to address this problem.
